Hi, I’m Carla, a mother of two and a passionate supporter of public education. As a working mom, I’m sensitive to the diverse needs and perspectives of families in our district. I’m committed to serving our community as a Papillion La Vista School Board candidate.

Why I’m Running
I am running for a seat on the school board because I believe a quality education is the most important stepping stone to our children’s personal success, our community’s success, and the success of our state.

Experience
My personal experience as a parent, community advocate, and working mother has prepared me for this role.
I hold a BA in human resources and family science from the University of Nebraska and volunteer in various capacities in our public schools.
As a community advocate, I fundraise for organizations that improve access to healthcare in our region.
As a working mom, I appreciate how public education prepared me for life, and I want the same experience for my children.

Meet Carla
I’ve been an active member of the Papillion La Vista community for the past 15 years.
My children have attended Papillion La Vista schools for 11 years. They are both avid golfers like their parents.
I’m passionate about fundraising for our schools and currently serve on the band booster board.
